1. Who runs this site

2. What data is collected and why
The site collects one kind of data, and only with your explicit consent:
Analytics (Google Analytics 4): only after you click "Accept" on
the cookie banner. Stores cookies that record anonymized session info: pages viewed,
referring source, approximate location (country or region, with IPs anonymized) and
device type. Used to understand which content is interesting to visitors. If you
decline, the Google script is never loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
There is no contact form, no newsletter form and no login on this site, so no email
address or other personal detail is submitted to or stored here. The prompt "Copy"
buttons work entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere. If you write to me by
email, that message lives in my mailbox and nowhere else, and you can ask me to delete
it at any time.
3. Cookies
Cookies set by this site, all with default state DENIED until you opt in:
_ga, _ga_*: Google Analytics, set only after Accept. Lifetime: up to 24 months.
vt_consent (localStorage, not technically a cookie): remembers your consent choice for 180 days.
vt-theme (localStorage): remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. Not shared, not analytics.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the
button (also in the footer of the main page). Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent.
4. Third-party services
Google Analytics (Google LLC, USA): analytics, loaded only after you accept. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Cloudflare (Cloudflare Inc., USA): hosting and CDN. Cloudflare may temporarily process IP addresses and headers for security and routing. cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
YouTube (Google LLC, USA): the build video is shown as a still image until you press play. Only then is a player loaded, from youtube-nocookie.com, which avoids YouTube's tracking cookie. Clicking a YouTube link takes you to youtube.com, which has its own privacy policy.
Fonts are served from this site itself, not from a third party, so loading this page sends your IP address to no one but the host.
5. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / similar)
If you are in the EU, UK, or any region with similar privacy law, you have the right to:
Access the data held about you
Correct it
Delete it ("right to be forgotten")
Object to processing or withdraw consent
Receive a copy in a portable format
Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority
If you are a California resident: I do not sell personal information. You have the
right to know what is collected and to request deletion, same process as above.
7. Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes to this policy
Updates to this page are dated at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the
main page.
